Gilani felicitates Iceland PM on national day

ISLAMABAD, June 17, 2011 (PPI): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iceland Johanna Sigurdardottir, on their National Day falling on June 17.

In his message issued here on Friday, the Prime Minister said, “It gives me great pleasure to extend, on behalf of the people and the government of Pakistan as well as on my own behalf, our warm felicitations on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of Iceland.”

“I hope that the friendly and cordial relations existing between our two countries will consolidate further to our mutual benefit in the years ahead”, he added.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his best wishes for the health and happiness of Prime Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Iceland.
