Woman, minor dies tragically

Karachi, June 17, 2011 (PPI): A woman and her child died while two others got injured when a cemented shade collapsed at Police Residential Quarters in Lyari area on Friday in the limits of Kalakot police station.

Police said 35-year-old Tanzeem Akhtar wife of Abdul Quddoos, her four years old child Abdul Basit, daughter Saba Khan and her sister Naseem were relaxing in veranda of house No. 01 block ‘F’ when a cemented shade collapsed and fell on them. Resultantly Tanzeem and her minor Basit received severe head injuries and died on the spot, while her daughter and sister also received injuries and were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
