Russian experts receive Vietnam's distinction

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Bui Dinh Dinh has presented Vietnam 's Friendship Medals and Orders to Russian scientists for their contributions to the development of Vietnam .

The friendship order awardees are members of the Russian Sub-committee of
the Russia-Vietnam Tropical Research Centre's Joint Commission. They are
Alexander Konoshenko, Alexey Chistyakov and Viacheslav Rozhnov. Meanwhile,
five other members of the centre received the friendship medals.

Addressing the award ceremony held in Moscow on Sept. 9, Ambassador
Dinh praised the Russian experts for their contributions to the two
countries' friendship, scientific research, technology transfer and
training.

The Vietnamese diplomat affirmed the fine development of the strategic
partnership between Vietnam and Russia .

For his part, Academician Chistyakov thanked the Vietnamese leaders and
people for his noble prize. He wished the Vietnamese people bigger successes
in national construction and scientific research for peace and national
