MP: demanding compensations for the occupation, irrational

Baghdad (NINA) – MP from al Wasat Alliance, Khalid Abdullah Al Alwani, considered the US forces calls for compensations from the Iraqi government as irrational, illogical, and violating international norms.

In a statement to NINA, Alwani said “the occupation forces committed lots of sabotage actions; it bears the responsibility of compensating the Iraqi people which was hurt by their sabotage actions.”

“All the actions of the occupation are nothing more than procrastination and prolonging,” he added, stressing that “such demands aim at keeping the US forces as long as possible.”

A US congressman, who was recently in a visit to Iraq, demanded the Iraqi government to compensate the losses that the US forces lost in Iraq.
