Crown Prince announces SR 10 Million annual donation for
Jeddah, September 10, SPA -- Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the
Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General,
who is also the Honorary President of the Founders of Prince Salman
Society and Center for Disability Research, has announced that he
will annually donate SR 10 million for the Society.
The Crown Prince made this announcement here on Tuesday evening
while patronizing the first meeting of the Society's general assembly
and the fourth meeting of the Society's founders.
The Crown Prince, who was accompanied by Prince Salman bin
Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh region and the Society's Founder,
and Prince Faisal bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Secretary General of
Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz al-Saud Charitable Foundation, was
welcomed by Prince Khalid al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah region,
Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman of the Board of
Directors of the Society, and Abdel-Maqsoud Khoja, a founder of the
society.
Meanwhile, the Crown Prince received the Society's annual report on
the achievements attained in the service of the handicapped.
The Crown Prince also inaugurated the website of the family village
implemented by the Society with the support of the Islamic
Development Bank (IDB).
Speaking on the occasion, Crown Prince Sultan expressed appreciation
for the significant role being played by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz
in various domains, and described him as one of the precious wealth
of the country.
He underscored the importance of serving the handicapped people and
said Almighty Allah will reward the philanthropists who spend their
money in good and bad days.
Expressing his admiration over the role of the Society, the Crown
Prince announced an annual donation of SR 10 million to the Society.
"By such a donation, I am not running after reputation, but I am
running after the service of the needy and poor persons, " he said.
