FM MAMMADYAROV MEETS IEA DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Baku,10 September,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Tuesday Deputy Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Richard Jones who is in Baku to attend the Exhibition and Conference “Oil and gas potential
of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan: energy, economy, ecology. Partnership Strategy”.
Richard Jones stressed Azerbaijan`s importance in terms of ensuring European energy
security, adding European countries attach particular emphasis on their
cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Elmar Mammadyarov informed the IEA Executive Director of Azerbaijan`s large scale
oil and gas projects, in particular Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum.
The FM said his country is keen to cooperate with the International Energy Agency.
