An American armored vehicle was destroyed on Tuesday evening, June 14, when an improvised explosive device went off east of Basra.
Security source told NINA that an improvised explosive device emplace on the road side in Shat al-Arab area, east of Basra, went off when an American convoy was passing, destroying one of the convoy's armored vehicles.
He pointed out that there might be some casualties among the American forces as a result of the big size of the blast that resulted in destroying the vehicle.
