MP from Ahrar bloc: IS suspending participation in political process, turns it into opposition

Baghdad (NINA) - MP from the Ahrar bloc Riadh Al Zaidi said "in case the Iraqiya Slate determined on suspending its participation in the political process, it will not harm the political process because they will turn to opposition and this is what makes the current government strong and fair."

Media office of Sadr Trend quoted Zaidi as saying, in a press statement today, "that the suspension of IS participation in the parliament is incorrect and irrational after the agreement was reached on the initiative launched by Muqtada Al Sadr in Erbil to resolve all disputes come out with an agreement that serves the interests of the country,” declining to disclose the nature of this initiative.

He added "there are some forces involved in the political process that are still insisting on the stay of the occupation forces in Iraq."

"The occupation forces are trying to use all ways in order to extend the stay period for longer time, and we know that the Port Mubarak thing was started by the occupation to convey a message to Iraq that it is unable to manage and protect itself from foreign interference. We insist that the government and security forces are capable of protecting the country from any external interference,” he concluded.
