"MODERN NOMADS" EXHIBITION OPENS AT EU HEADQUARTERS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A painting exhibition named "Modern Nomads" is running at the Berlaymont building of Headquarters of the European Commission. It has been co-organized by the Representative of Mongolia in the European Union and the European External Action Service (EEAS) on occasion of the 100th anniversary of Mongolia's contemporary diplomacy.
An official opening of the exhibition took place June 9 with remarks made by Mr. Viorel Isticioaia Budura, a director-general of the EEAS in charge of Asian Affairs, and by A.Battor, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the EU. They have expressed a satisfaction with widening of the Mongolia-EU relations and cooperation. The Ambassador A.Battor has thanked the EU for supporting Mongolia's democracy and development.
The dignitaries are hopeful that the partnership and cooperation agreement expected between Mongolia and the EU would contribute to elevating the bilateral relations and cooperation into a new level.
The event is running coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Mongolia-Belgium diplomatic relations. It has attracted some officials from the Kingdom of Belgium.
The exhibition will last until June 24.
