Turkey's premier wishes election results will be beneficial


ANKARA (A.A) - 12.06.2011 - Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, also the chairman of the Justice & Development (AK) Party, wished on Sunday that the parliamentary election results would be beneficial to Turkey, Turkish nation, its geography and the entire world.
"I hope these results will contribute to peace and order, justice and stability in our region and the world," Erdogan said as he addressed citizens from the balcony of AK Party headquarters in Ankara.
More than 91 percent of votes counted, the Justice and Development (AK) Party has 49.89 percent of the votes.
The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has 26.07 percent of the votes.
The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) has 13.15 percent of the votes while independents have 6.09 percent.
With these figures, the AK Party wins 325 seats at the 550 seat parliament, as CHP gets 136 seats and the MHP 54 seats. Independents have 34 seats.
