Zebari, Malaysian official discuss reopening Malaysia's Embassy in Baghdad
Baghdad (NINA) – Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, discussed with Malaysia's Foreign Undersecretary, Aldato Radi Rahman, means to develop the relations between Iraq and Malaysia and the possibilities to expand bilateral cooperation in all fields.
A statement issued on Sunday, June 12, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that during the meeting Zebari discussed with the Malaysian official the issue of reopening the Malaysian Embassy in Baghdad.
It pointed out, "Foreign Minister stressed the importance of having an active Malaysian diplomatic presence in Baghdad to go along with the growing bilateral economic relations, especially in the field of oil."
