BANGKOK, June 12 (TNA) - Political parties are intensifying their vote campaigns in many areas for the July 3 election, which is only 21 days away.

Yingluck Shinawatra, the top list candidate of the Pheu Thai Party Sunday started her campaigns in the North in Chiang Rai province. Later on the day, she was scheduled to visit Chiang Mai, Lamphun and Lampang provinces. Her campaign focused on highlighting the detail of the party’s policies and urging authorities to be politically impartial.

Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, meanwhile, campaigned at the Krathumban market in Samut Sakhon province. He received a warm welcome from the local people, many of whom gave him flowers and showed placards with messages of moral support.

Democrat candidates in Bangkok led by Ong-art Klampaibul campaigned on bicycles at the Suan Rod Fai public park. The campaigns aimed at encouraging eligible voters to exercise their rights and winning over wavering voters which accounted for about 50 percent of all the voters. (TNA)
