People in Ranong warned of possible flash floods
RANONG, June 11 (TNA) - The disaster prevention and mitigation office in Thailand's southern resort Ranong Province issued a warning on Saturday for local people to brace for heavy downpours over the next couple of days with possible flash floods and landslides in areas at risk.
The provincial office advised Ranong's residents living near hillsides and other low-lying areas to be particularly prepared for the fresh natural disaster. Local trawlers were also warned of high tides in the Andaman Sea in the coming days. (TNA)
