Active vote campaigns going on throughout Thailand

BANGKOK, June 10 (TNA) - As the July 3 general election is less than a month away, Thai political parties are actively applying their strategies to campaign for votes.
Thai caretaker prime minister and Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva drove a sidecar motorcycle with a candidate to woo votes from local people in Bangkok's Charoenkrung area on Friday.
Leader of the Matubhum Party General Sonthi Bunyaratkalin, who is Thailand's coup leader in 2006, campaigned for votes in the capital's Don Muang area, where people gave him roses and morale support.
Thai caretaker commerce minister and Secretary-general of the Bhumjaithai Party Pornthiva Nakasai campaigned in the constituency 11 in Laksi in the city, a political stronghold of her party.
Chart Thai Pattana Party key figures, including Thai caretaker deputy prime minister Major General Sanan Kajornprasart and caretaker deputy finance minister Pradit Phataraprasit launched their electoral campaigns at fresh markets in the heart of the country's northern Nakhon Sawan Province, where local people gave them flowers and morale support.
The top list candidate of the Pheu Thai Party Yingluck Shinawatra, on the other hand, led her team to campaign for votes at Phra Pra-daeng Market in Bangkok's suburban Samut Prakan Province under police protection. (TNA)
