Hakeem, Jeffery discuss bilateral ties
Baghdad (NINA) – Amar Al Hakeem, head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, discussed with the American Ambassador to Iraq, James Jeffery, and the American Forces commander, Gen. Lloyd Austin, on Thursday bilateral relations.
Al Hakeem’s office mentioned that “Al Hakeem stressed that the agreement signed between Iraq and the US laid the right basis for the relationship between the two countries.”
During the meeting, viewpoints were exchanged regarding the status quo in the region.
