National Aviation Academy rector awarded with honorary title "Person of Year in Science"

According to a poll conducted among the teaching staff and students of the Caucasus University, the Rector of the National Aviation Academy, academician Arif Pashayev, was awarded with the honorary title of "Person of the Year in Science". The Scientific Council of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has held an event on this occasion today, the ANAS reported.
"At present, about 350 teachers work and 2,100 students study at the National Aviation Academy," Arif Pashayev said at the event. "Thanks to the support of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev the Academy bought new equipment to improve education level."
Besides the aviation specialties, such subjects as law, economics, logistics and others are taught at the academy. The Academy closely cooperates with the most authoritative educational institutions and implements joint projects with them.
Rector of the Caucasus University Ahmed Sanich appreciated the work in the National Aviation Academy.
The National Aviation Academy and the Caucasus University signed a protocol on scientific-technical cooperation within the meeting. The document provides for implementing the joint projects with two universities, conducting research, courses, workshops and scientific conferences.
