Cyclone may affect coastal belts of Thatta, Badin: Minister

Karachi, June 09, 2011 (PPI): Sindh Minister for Fisheries Zahid Bhurgari informed the Sindh Assembly on Thursday that all fishermen along coastal areas have been directed not to venture in the open sea as cyclone had virtually been developed in the Arabian Sea.

Speaking on the point of order, he said the metrological department had informed him about the impending cyclone that had almost been developed. “It is most likely to affect the coastal belts of Thatta, Badin and Karachi”.

He said the City District Government Karachi has also taken measures for dealing the natural disaster.
