Hi-5 kicked out of Queensland pub
SYDNEY (AAP) - June 9 - Kiddie band Hi-5 have been kicked out of a pub they visited during a tour of a flood-hit central Queensland town for a disaster recovery concert.
Members of the group were asked to leave The Irish Village pub in Emerald last Friday while having dinner for failing to comply with the dress code.
They were reportedly kicked out just before dessert because Stevie Nicholson and Tim Maddren were not wearing collared shirts.
Pub manager Paul Crawford said he stood by the strict dress code.
"Rules are rules. It doesn't matter who you are, if you aren't in dress code, expect to be asked to leave," he told the Central Queensland News.
Hi-5 members returned to the pub for a meal the following day and said they didn't hold a grudge.
They even heaped the praise on Emerald.
"I don't think we've ever been hugged by kids as much as when we were there," Stevie told the paper.
