Al-Kurshmi meets Japanese ambassador

SANA'A, Sep 09 (Saba) - Minister of Public Works and Roads Omer
al-Kurshmi met on Tuesday with the Japanese ambassador to Yemen
Masakazu Toshikage.

The meeting discussed the possibility of developing and modernizing
the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges through renewing its
workshop and maintaining its equipment.

At the meeting the two brought up new requirements the workshop
needs as well as the issue of training the workshop cadres to cope
with technical development and improve production.

Al-Kurshmi appreciated Japanese support for Yemen particularly in
the public works and roads area.

For his part, Toshikage affirmed that his country is interested in
promoting its relations with Yemen in various fields.
