Barham Saleh, Deputy Commander of US forces in Iraq stress importance of fulfilling security ministries
Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister of Kurdistan region, Barham Saleh, and Deputy Commander of American forces in Iraq, General Frank Helmeck, stressed the importance of fulfilling the portfolios of security ministries.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) web site said on Wednesday, June 8, that Barham Saleh and General Helmeck discussed during their meeting in Erbil on Wednesday, Iraq's political situation, in general and its security situation, in particular.
The meeting stressed the important role of American forces in training and rehabilitating Iraq's security forces, as well as helping in unifying the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, being part of Iraq's defence system.
