MP reveals intentions to organize "overwhelming" demonstrations demanding Talabani to ratify death sentences

Baghdad (NINA) - MP from the National Alliance-State of Law Coalition, Adnan Al Shahmani, referred to "intention of certain parties, without disclosing them, to organize protests demanding President Jalal Talabani to ratify the death sentences issued by courts against convicted terrorist acts."

Shahmani said, in a statement to NINA "there are public demands to the president to ratify the death sentences issued by courts."

"These demands will turn into violent and angry street protests to put pressure to ratify these sentences.
