Pakistan says great potentials for cooperation with Iran in communication sector
Islamabad, June 08, 2011 (PPI): Federal Communication Minister Arbab Alamgir Khan Wednesday said there are great potentials for cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in the field of communication.
Talking to Iranian news agency IRNA here, he said Pakistan always valued its relations with Iran and both countries have been enjoying friendly relations for so many years. "It is a natural relation and we want to further cement ties with Iran.”
He said political relations between Iran and Pakistan are much stronger than economic ties and underlined need for further expansion of bilateral trade, which will benefit both countries. He said Iran offered Pakistan financial assistance in rehabilitation of Quetta-Taftan road link especially Nushki-Dalbandin section. “We are examining their proposals.”
On Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, Alamgir Khan said there is absolutely no delay in its implementation. “We are right now working on modalities”, he stated.
