“Yingluck” ready for investigation on Thaksin-related cases

BANGKOK, June 7 (TNA) - The Pheu Thai Party said on Tuesday its No 1 list MP candidate, Yingluck Shinawatra, is ready for an investigation on her testimony over a case involving the seizure of 46 billion baht of her brother Thaksin’s asset.

Deputy Pheu Thai Party leader, Plodprasop Suraswadi, made the announcement following allegations that Yingluck had told lies to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the now-defunct Asset Scrutiny Committee (ASC), and given false testimony over the asset concealment case in the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, former ASC member Kaewsan Atipho, said he would file a petition on June 21 with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and the Public Prosecution Office for the reinvestigation on Yingluck’s false testimony.

Kaewsan insisted he had to rely on the judicial process to prevent the Pheu Thai No 1 list candidate from rising to power and reverting the verdict on Thaksin’s case. (TNA)
