"FOOD SATETY-2011" FORUM TO TAKE PLACE SOON
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A forum themed "Food safety in Mongolia-2011" will run June 24 in the Government House under auspices of the Prime Minister.
Co-organized by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, the Mongolian Association of Food Producers, and branch of Germany's Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Mongolia, the forum will attract some 1,500 representatives.
The gathered are expected to consider solutions to food safety and supply matters such as satisfying the domestic needs with food products after agricultural industries are restored, augmenting reserve of staple commodities to be used in case of disasters or economic unstable conditions, and increasing of a state support in reducing the nutrition shortage and spread of infectious and non-infectious diseases.
