TO PARTICIPANTS OF INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “GAS POTENTIAL OF AZERBAIJAN AND TURKMENISTAN: ENERGY, ECONOMY, ECOLOGY. STRATEGY OF COOPERATION”
Baku,9 September,(AzerTAj)Esteemed Conference participants,
I warmly greet you, the participants of international conference “Gas potential of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan: Energy, economy, ecology. Strategy of cooperation” and wish success to your Conference.
Sure, such an authoritative event will promote demonstration of rich potential of
our states in the energy filed, further to study the acquired experience and step
forward to new phase of cooperation. Participation of the representatives from many
world countries in this forum is the token of great international attention to it.
In 1994, the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev signed the “Contract of
the Century” with the leading world oil companies and thus founded a new period of
development and progress in the history of our country. And today Azerbaijan`s
diversified export strategy is continuation of this policy.
Azerbaijan has traditionally acquired deep knowledge and ability in the oil-gas
industry, with professional staff and great scientific potential. At the same time,
Azerbaijan has created large infrastructure meeting modern world standards, and we
stand ready to exchange these opportunities for mutual interests.
Official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to our
country in May current year has established reliable ground for cooperation ties
between our countries. This forum is the result of agreement reached during this
visit.
The Conference is of great importance to consider large scale investment projects on
the oil-gas field in the Caspian region, use of new technology, carrying out the
exploration works in ecological safety cooperation, and also study all-sided co-op
opportunities.
I am convinced that today’s meeting will make certain contribution to welfare and
progress of out fraternal peoples. I once again wish success to your Conference,
each of you – happiness.
