AMBASSADORS PRESENT DIPLOMATIC CREDENTIALS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iceland to Mongolia Mrs. Kristin A.Arnadottir presented Monday her letter of credence to the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj.
At the meeting held after presenting the credentials, the President noted that Mongolia and Iceland have many similarities in ways of number of population, weather and others. Ts.Elbegdorj has said Mongolian aims to develop relations and cooperation with European highly-developed countries including northern European ones within its transparent and multi-pillar foreign policy.
Mentioning that Mongolia is attracting other countries by its business agreeable conditions, the President has said it invites business of Iceland to cooperate. It is important to expand the trade and economic ties in order to forward the relations and cooperation, he added.
The President has underlined an importance of boosting the collaboration in education sector, and expressed a willingness to train Mongolian students in Iceland.
In her turn, Arnadottir has said she is ready to actively cooperate with Mongolia in the spheres of education, high-tech and business.

The ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to Mongolia Peter Tan Hai Chuan-Tai has presented his diplomatic credentials to Ts.Elbegdorj.
The President has noted that developing the bilateral and regional cooperation with the Asia-Pacific countries is one of the priorities of Mongolia's foreign policy, and underlined Mongolia has an aspiration to deepen the relations and cooperation with Singapore.
Ts.Elbegdorj has said Mongolia wants to cooperate with Singapore in refining upon the state service and in the spheres of health, education, sciences, technologies, investment and financial market. The President has hoped Singapore would support Mongolia in becoming a partner of the ASEAN talks and in participating in the East Asia Summit.

The same day, the President received diplomatic credentials from Hassane Rabehi, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Mongolia.
At the meeting after the ceremony, the President expressed a willingness to expand a cooperation with Algeria in the infrastructure, mining, energy, agriculture and environmental sectors.
In response, the ambassador has said Algeria can cooperate with Mongolia in the fields of tourism, energy, mining, education and environment.
