EC should to take action against red shirt protesters: Democrat Party

BANGKOK, June 6 (TNA) - The secretary-general of the Democrat Party Suthep Thaugsuban on Monday asked the Election Commission (EC) to take actions against the Pheu Thai Party for using red shirt protesters to obstruct its vote campaigns.

Mr Suthep claimed the Pheu Thai Party had been campaigning for votes whilst using red shirt protesters to threaten candidates of other political parties in ways that jeopardized their safety.

The democrat secretary-general also insisted that his Party had nothing to do with the movements of the multicolored people group and Kaewsan Atipho, a former member of the now-defunct Asset Scrutiny Committee.

Both groups confirmed they would lodge a complaint with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) against Pheu Thai Party top-list candidate Yingluck Shinawatra for giving false testimony over her brother Thaksin’s asset concealment case. (TNA)
