Flash floods hit Rayong

RAYONG, June 6 (TNA) - Torrential rains since Sunday night have caused flash floods in Thailand’s seaside province of Rayong.

Heavy downpours continued until Monday morning as flood waters rose above 60 centimetres high in the city’s main districts, especially at Rayong Market Center, Ta-pong Fruit Market, and along a Sukhumwit Road.

Meanwhile, traffic delays due to the flooding had clogged up the majority of the city, which is surrounded by low-plains. (TNA)
