Wildfires in Siberia stopped at over four thousand hectares

KRASNOYARSK, June 5 (Itar-Tass) -- Siberia's firefighters extinguished
99 wildfires occupying 4,539.3 hectares, but the situation still remains
tense.
As of Sunday morning, there are 137 fires at 26,054 hectares. Over the
past day the wildfires area grew by 4,019 hectares. Firefighters managed
to localise 39 fires at 2,237.5 hectares in forests, press service of the
local EMERCOM centre said on Sunday.
The most complicated situation remains in the Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk
regions.
"There are 12 big wildfires, which occupy 16,945 hectares, where two
fires at 900 hectares are localised," the source said. "No settlements are
at risk."
