Thailand affected by minor quakes in Myanmar, Laos

BANGKOK, June 4 (TNA) - The Meteorological Department reported on Saturday that two minor earthquakes jolted neighbouring Myanmar and Laos on Friday night, affecting some adjacent areas in Thailand.
The Meteorological Department in Bangkok said that the first tremor measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale shook Myanmar at around 8:12pm in areas located about 11 kilometres north of Chiang Dao District in Thailand's northern Chiang Mai Province; while the second quake with its 3.1 magnitude took place in areas in Laos, some 29 kilometres east of Chiang Khong District in nearby Chiang Rai Province.
According to the Thai meteorological agency, there were no reports of damage or casualties from the two quakes in the neighbouring countries. (TNA)
