Zibari receives new British ambassador to Iraq

Baghdad (NINA) – Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zibari, received on Thursday credentials of newly appointed British ambassador to Iraq, Michael Erwin, and a copy of his credentials.

The Iraqi ministry said in a statement “Zibari hailed the British ambassadors who worked in Iraq earlier, wishing the newly appointed ambassador all the success in his mission to strengthen ties between both countries.”

For his part, the British ambassador expressed “happiness to work in Iraq and promised to exert utmost efforts to enhance relations with Iraq.” /End/
