"WE WILL SOLVE THIS PROBLEM"
The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) held an election rally for the first time in southeastern province of Diyarbakir after nine years. Addressing the people in Istasyon Square in Diyarbakir, CHP chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu said, "We did not come to Diyarbakir and did not listen to your problems. We only told you that you should vote for us. But now we are changing it." Regarding the Kurdish problem, he said, "There is such a problem and my task is to solve this problem."
TENSION IN HOPA
Clashes took place between a group of protestors and police officers before and after an election rally of the Justice and Development (AK) Party in Hopa town of northeastern province of Artvin. Protestors threw stones on convoy of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and a security guard was wounded seriously. Several people including 15 police officers were wounded in clashes and 60 people were detained.

CHP IN DIYARBAKIR AFTER 9 YEARS
Chairman of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu was in the south-eastern province of Diyarbakir on Tuesday. This was the first time in nine years that a CHP chairman visited Diyarbakir. Speaking at a rally in Diyarbakir, Kilicdaroglu promised that they would erect a new factory in Diyarbakir and not a prison. Some of the banners carried at the rally read "Long Live Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood".
BRIBERY EPIDEMIC
In a survey conducted in Turkey, Ernst & Young found out that 77 percent of those surveyed think bribery in Turkey is widespread. 35 percent of those surveyed expressed that they thought giving bribe was a normal step in finding a job.

GAS KILLS IN PROTEST
Police used gas bombs against a group protesting Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Hopa town of northeastern Artvin province. A retired teacher died of heart attack during the incidents. Reacting to several protestors' throwing stones at his convoy, Erdogan said, "It seems bandits have come down to Hopa".
CIVILIANS NOT PRESENT THIS TIME
Not a single state official, except soldiers, attended the funeral of the third general of September 12 military coup, unlike the funerals of the first two deceased generals of the time. Civilians had attended the funerals of Gen. Sedat Celasun in 1998 and Nurettin Ersin in 2005. The state only sent flowers to Gen. Nejat Tumer's funeral yesterday. Tumer lost his life on the day he was called for interrogation for September 12.
