Sadr's spokesman: we have not, will never have dialogue with parties involved with occupation
Baghdad (NINA) - Sheikh Salah Al Obeidi spokesman for Muqtada Al Sadr's office said the trend is "on a fixed position of not involving in dialogue with any party actually involved in the occupation of Iraq. "
He said in a statement quoted by the Political Commission of the Sadr Trend today "we did not and will not have any dialogue with the parties involved actually in the occupation of Iraq, what is circulated by some of the media is not true.’’
Obeidi added "the parade that took place a few days ago is a peaceful civilian parade that does not defy Iraqi government or any other party, political or social.
The U.S. ambassador in Iraq, James Jeffrey, said in a press statement yesterday
"there are meetings held with leaders of the Sadr Trend in some provinces on a number of issues."
