Maliki receives Mualim, stresses Iraq’s keenness on Syria’s stability
Baghdad (NINA) – Iraqi Premier Nouri Al Maliki received on Tuesday the Syrian Foreign Minister Waleed Al Mualim who arrived in Baghdad this morning on a surprise visit.
During the meeting, bilateral relations and current circumstances in the Arab arena were discussed.
Maliki confirmed Iraq’s keenness on Syria’s stability and achieve reforms in it that could achieve security and stability, calling for activating economic cooperation in service of both countries’ interests, according to a statement by Maliki’s office.
For his part, the Syrian official stressed the need to activate economic ties and increase the size of commercial exchange.
