OPEN DISCUSSION RUNS ABOUT CHILDREN SEXUAL VIOLENCE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A “Children's sexual inviolablility, protecting children from possible sexual violence” open discussion has ran May 31 in a “Civil hall” under the President of Mongolia.
The action has been initiated by “Human rights center for helping people”, National anti-violence center and Mongolia's women's fund gathering Ministries of Health, of Science, education and culture, the Metropolitan court, the General police department, the Human rights National commission, Judicial national institute and some NGOs.
They have discussed all issues related to children sex violence. Public order protection section of the General police department has noted that it is needed to elaborate a policy on implementation of children's rights Convention and other related laws, to co-ordinate activities of state organizations and children-targeted NGOs, proposing to strengthen the state authority in charge of children's issues. A head of Analyses laboratory of the Judicial institute S.Ganbold has said that in case a gene information and registration fund is created, more crimes may be revealed. Other suggestions have been about including related lessons in schools programme, training certified doctors for girls, increasing one-point service centers at hospitals.
