Maliki, French delegation discuss military cooperation

Baghdad (NINA) - Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki stressed on the importance of expanding cooperation between Iraq and France in all fields, especially industrial and military.

A statement from Maliki's office today said "the Prime Minister received a delegation comprising representatives from the French Ministry of Defense and the French arms companies, and stressed that the doors are open to all French companies to enter Iraq and contribute to the process of construction and reconstruction."

the statement added "the French delegation expressed hope to exert maximum efforts in order to work in Iraq and participate in the process of construction and reconstruction."

The statement made clear "the delegation, during the meeting, handed a written message to Maliki from French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, which included an invitation to visit Paris,” the delegation confirmed the French government's keenness to strengthen relations with Iraq.

"Maliki said he hoped to meet the invitation to visit Paris and to deepen the Iraqi-French partnership," it concluded. /End/


He concluded "this amount represents salaries of the three VPs only, and you could stand on the size of the budget to be allocated with administrative, technical staffs, guards and other expenses."
