TO PARTICIPANTS OF THE THIRD MEETING OF ECO TOP OFFICIALS FOR AGRICULTURE

Baku,8 September,(AzerTAj)President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a letter of congratulations to participants of the Third Meeting of top officials for agriculture of the Economic Cooperation Organization being held in Baku. The letter
runs:
“Dear meeting participants,
I cordially greet you – senior officials of the authoritative international
organization, and wish you robust health and success. I am convinced that in the
city of Baku this forum will strengthen our mutual cooperation, as well as
contribute to the cause of making the region secure from the point of view food
provision.
Speeding-up of socio-economic progress in our country, expansion of financial
opportunities opened new chances for development of agrarian sector as well.
Currently rise of agricultural production, improvement of the infrastructure in this
field, to hopefully provide the people with foodstuffs were defined as priorities of
agrarian policy.
Sure, in the current stage, when the problem of food security acquires global
character, exchange of views and experience on agrarian questions among our
countries will have great importance, and promote realization of numerous regional
programs, aimed at solution of specific problems of agriculture.
Once again I wish success to the event, and hope for further strengthening of
friendship among our countries, deepening of mutual cooperation in all spheres.
