No drama in Kyrgyz MPs reaction to report on Osh events: Karasin.

MOSCOW (Itar-Tass) - In a telephone conversation with Russian
Deputy Foreign Minister Secretary of State Grigory Karasin on Monday, EU
special representative for Central Asia Pierre Morel expressed concern
over a resolution of the Kyrgyz parliament criticizing the report of the
international independent commission investigating the events in southern
Kyrgyzstan in June 2010, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
According to parliamentarians, this report is "biased and one-sided".
The Russian diplomat urged Pierre Morel not to dramatize the reaction of
Kyrgyz parliamentarians. He stressed that "work to investigate the tragic
events in Kyrgyzstan has been carried out in different formats, including
by a group of international experts led by Kimmo Kiljunen, at the
initiative of the leadership of that country".
"The results of several investigations have caused ambiguous reaction
in the Kyrgyz society and power-wielding agencies, and the report of the
Kiljunen commission was not an exception in that".
"Despite some critical remarks to that document, its conclusions have
been taken into account by the Kyrgyz government, which made a decision to
take into consideration recommendations of international experts, to set
up a special state commission to monitor that process," Karasin said.
He said the main thing is to see that "these steps contribute to the
strengthening of inter-ethnic accord, peace and stability in the republic,
its successful and conflict-free progress towards democratic
transformations".
