PREMIER RECEIVES 7TH DAN FOR TAEKWONDO

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Monday, the Prime Minister S.Batbold received Chang Ji, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea.
The ambassador has presented to the Premier a certificate of a grand master, or the 7th dan for taekwondo.
This title is awarded to a person who significantly contributed to developing the sport.
It is considered that the brilliant successes of Mongolian athletes at international competitions such as Olympic Games, World championships and World cups, are the expression of athletes' hard work and the outcome of the intensive measures taken by the government.
In accordance with a rule of granting the title to those state leaders who are friendly with sports, the Premier also received the 5th dan for Kyokushinkai Karate when he was a Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2002. Apart of him, this title has been awarded to many outstanding people, Russian Premier Putin for example.
