Al Sadr expresses readiness to solve political disputes to end US forces’ presence
Najaf (NINA) – Leader of the Sadr Trend expressed readiness to intervene and solve political disputes and support the government to end the American forces’ stay in Iraq.
A statement issued by Al Sadr office quoted Muqtada Al Sadr as saying “the political disputes between the big blocs could lead to political disaster. If the people wanted to drive the occupation out, the government should go along with its people in that endeavor, and we will end the occupation without weapons and without disputes.”
Regarding the reduction of the government’s size, he said that “we will be with the political blocs, in case they made up their mind, without any unjust to any other party and without political disputes.”
