Bikers from Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore join the Klonghae Bikeweek event

BANGKOK, May 29 (TNA) - Thai, Malaysian and Singaporean bikers brought some 1,500 big bikes to the first Klonghae Bike week event. The bikes drew special attention from a number of locals and tourists alike.

Klonghae municipality together with bikers from the Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore organized a Klonghae Bike-Week on Thung Yai road near the Klonghae floating market in Songkhla province’s Hat Yai district to promote the province only floating market.

The bikes of Thai, Malaysian and Singaporean bikers were of various makes and decorations. Their prices ranged from six-digit to seven-digit figures. The vehicles interested a number of local people and tourists.

The event included performances on stage and the sales of products and souvenirs. Revenue made from the event would be donated to the non-formal education office of the Klonghae municipality for the procurement of new educational equipment to replace ones that were damaged last year floods. Parts of the revenue would also be awarded as scholarships to poor but capable students in Klonghae locality. (TNA)
