Man dies after being handcuffed in Sydney
(AAP) - A man has died after police arrested him on a street in Sydney's southwest.
Police spotted the man riding a motorised bicycle without a helmet in Campbelltown about 10.20am (AEST) on Saturday.
They say he became abusive when officers stopped him near the corner of Queen and Browne streets.
Police say that soon after they arrested and handcuffed the man, he collapsed.
The officers promptly performed CPR until an ambulance arrived and took him to Campbelltown Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The man has yet to be formally identified.
A critical incident investigation team will interview the police and any witnesses.
