Kim Jong Il Provides Field Guidance to Construction Site of Huichon Power Station

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, provided field guidance to the construction site of the Huichon Power Station upon his return home after wrapping up his unofficial visit to China.
After being briefed on the project in front of a huge map showing a panoramic view of the Ryongrim Dam, he looked round different places in the construction site.
Watching the gigantic Ryongrim Dam, Kim Jong Il expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the soldier-builders successfully built the huge structure.
Noting that the construction of the Huichon Power Station is an important work to carry out the behests of President Kim Il Sung, he advanced highly important tasks to serve as guidelines for completing the construction earlier than scheduled.
The devoted struggle of the soldier-builders and other builders of the power station made it possible to wind up the large-scale construction of the power station by 2012, he said.
He expressed expectation that the builders of the power station would demonstrate once again the indomitable mental power and the revolutionary spirit of heroic Korea.
He had a photo session with the builders of the Ryongrim Dam. -0-
