ABOUT PREPARATION FOR STATE GREAT FESTIVAL

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A regular meeting ran Thursday of the national committee in charge of preparation for the State Great Festival. Many celebration events must be thoroughly organized to mark the 2220th anniversary of founding of Mongolia's Statehood--Hun Empire, the 805th anniversary of the Great Mongol State, the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of National Freedom, and the 90th anniversary of the People's Revolution.
On the eve of the celebration--June 5-9--the days of the World Mongolians will take place on the Sukhbaatar square showing the Mongolian dairy products, script, folk arts and costumes.
The sub-committees has reported on their work. In national wrestling, one thousand and 24 men will compete at this year's State Festival, 420 of them will be the state title holders. A horse race sub-committee has said 3,500-4,000 horses will compete in the tournament in six age categories.
Artistic show and a demonstration of the national archery will be staged at opening ceremony of the festival.
A leader of the committee and Deputy Premier M.Enkhbold has obliged the city's authorities to improve the illumination along the Peace Avenue, and to present a master-program on the festival's opening and closing ceremonies within June 15.
