Fire at munitions storage localized
MOSCOW, May 27 (Itar-Tass) -- Fire at the munitions storage depot in
Bashkiria has been localized. Nine people turned for medical help and 46
families remained homeless, Volga regional emergency center spokesman Oleg
Zugeyev told Tass on Friday.
"All fire hotbeds have been localized on the territory of the military
unit however explosions periodically occur," he said.
There are no fires in the nearby settlement of Urman at present
although explosions damaged residential houses.
He said a total of 771 firemen and 215 vehicles have been engaged in
fighting the blaze.
