Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Foreign Minister of Mongolia met Thursday a visiting delegation led by Mr. James Appathurai, the NATO Secretary General's representative for the security policy and partnership relations affairs.
They have exchanged views on the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the NATO. The Foreign Minister Zandanshatar has said Mongolia maintains a directive to establish official ties with the NATO in frames of its open, independent and multi-pillar foreign policy focused on strengthening the security and stability and developing democracy and good governance.
It is considered that the visit of the NATO's high officials has a vital importance for Mongolia. The country has become the 45th country that sent its troops to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) after establishing a related agreement with the NATO in 2010.
