Esawi, Egyptian minister discuss Egyptian debts
Baghdad (NINA) – Finance Minister, Rafi’ Al Esawi, discussed with Egyptian Labor and Migration Minister, Ahmed Al Burae, the Egyptian Debts dossier, according to a statement issued by Finance Ministry.
“The Iraqi government admits the Egyptian debts, there are ongoing efforts to solve that issue once and for all,” the statement issued on Wednesday quoted the Minister as saying.
Esawi added that he totally understands the problems created by delay in paying the Egyptian laborers, which is known as Yellow Pages vouchers.
“The Iraqi people and government side with the brothers Egyptians to help them through any crisis facing them on the economic and political levels,” Esawi concluded.
