Seven die, several injured as suicide-bomber attacks police station in Peshawar

Peshawar, May 25, 2011 (PPI): A suicide bomber in an explosive-laden vehicle rammed into a police office building in Peshawar on Wednesday that killed seven police officers and injured several others. SSP Operations Muhammad Ejaz Khan said 23 others were injured in the blast. About 300 kilograms of explosive material was used in a mini-truck. The building was being used as a Directorate of Counter-Terrorism to interrogate militants. No militants were being questioned or in the building at the time of the blast. The special police officials who were running the directorate were the target of the blast.
