President Saleh orders to build school, medical center in al-Dhafir
SANA'A, Sep. 07 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh gave Sunday
his orders to build a school, medical center and a mosque in
al-Dhafir village.
During his inspection visit to al-Dhafir village of Bani Matar
district at Sana'a governorate, President Saleh get acquainted with
the implantation progress of the 100 housing units being built at
the village.
The achievement percentage of the housing units that is being built
at the expense of Saudi prince Al-Walid Bin Talal Abdul Aziz Al
Saud, reached 80 percent.
During the visit, President Saleh inspected the condition of village
citizens' and listened to the problems and needs.
He lauded initiative of the prince Al-Walid Bin Talal, noting that
this village would be a typical one with comprehensive service
facilities.
Al-Dhafir village was subjected to a landslide on February 2006.
About 25 houses were destroyed when part of the adjacent mountain
broke loose as the village slept. More than 57 persons were died,
twenty-nine of whom were females.
