DEMPARTY FACTION MEETS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Monday, a regular meeting of the Democratic Party's (DP) faction was held.
It has heard a report from by N.Luvsanjav, a head of the General Election Commission (GEC), and Ch.Sodnomtseren, the GEC's secretary on course of works for automating the electoral activities.
The GEC's authorities have noted that some work for automating the voting process has not been planned yet due to indefinite system of elections and lack of related law. "That is why it is needed to quickly approve the law that determines the electoral system," they say. In response, the DP faction have said they back the proportional system of elections.
The faction also has discussed an issue of strategic products, and decided to add fresh water and blood and blood plasma into the category of strategic products. In conjunction with it, an order has been given to related authorities to run donors blood taking
campaing so that blood reserve is enough for one month for 100 thousand people.
